We are delighted to invite you to a two part webinar (in English) brought to you by Safe Sport International and the Safeguarding Unit at London law firm Farrer & Co.<\/p>\n

On the 7th July<\/strong> between 3.00pm \u00ad 4.00pm BST (GMT+1), we will explore how\u00a0academic research can inform good safeguarding practice.<\/p>\n

Professor Emerita Kari Fasting<\/strong> will first discuss \u2018what we know about non\u00adaccidental violence in sport\u2019, Prof Bettina Rulofs<\/strong> will share her recent research on German athletes’ experiences and their designated sexual violence commissioner roles, and Adele Eastman<\/strong> will present the Safeguarding Unit\u2019s ground breaking guidance on the importance of sharing low level concerns. Rachel Nolloth<\/strong> will chair the discussion and pose audience questions to our three panel members.<\/p>\n

On the 14th July<\/strong> between 3.00pm \u00ad 4.00pm BST (GMT+1), we will discuss what safeguarding lessons we can learn from the Larry Nassar case.<\/p>\n

Maria Strauss<\/strong> and Katie Fudakowski<\/strong> from Farrer & Co will present the case study and identify the key failings in governance arising from the case. Also in this webinar, Anne Tiivas<\/strong> OBE \u00ad Chair of Safe Sport International will present on practical tips for safeguarding at board level.<\/p>\n

These two webinars are aimed at board members of national and international sports federations and executive teams and will be a valuable opportunity to hear from safeguarding professionals and lawyers on why safeguarding must be at the top of every Boards’ agenda.
